Glenn has a very broad knowledge of engineering, accountancy and tax law and knows how to apply these areas of knowledge to practical situations. He uses his engineers’ perspective to maximise the R&D Tax Credit Allowance Claims to the significant benefit of our clients.
Glenn initially graduated in Production Engineering and Management from Loughborough University. After a short period working at a multi national Engineering company he moved to studying Chartered Accountancy with Arthur Andersen, a major international Accountancy Practice.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant he moved back to Hull to start his own accountancy practice whilst working with his local family engineering company.
Away from work Glenn likes spending time with his wife, Janet, three grown up children and seven grandchildren. He enjoys cooking very much and is also a keen ballroom/latin and rock and roll dancer.
Simon has a strong knowledge of current tax law and how incentives and schemes can be legally and effectively utilised. This makes him the ideal person to deliver our R&D Tax Relief claims, from start to finish, and has achieved outstanding results for our clients!
Simon has been working in Accountancy and Engineering for over fourteen years and is now a Chartered Certified Accountant. He began his working life as trainee accountant in a medium sized local accountancy firm, where he built up a solid understanding of accountancy and compliance work. After three years he decided to move into a more challenging role as financial accountant, at a large local engineering company. This is where he developed a keen interest in manufacturing and engineering, and has been involved in productivity management, and costing of new products, as well as providing financial analysis, and management reports, to the board of directors.
Simon likes to spend most his time away from work with his wife Vikki and three young children Charlotte, Miles and Abigail. During the summer months he is also an avid cricketer, having played for his beloved Hessle C.C. for over eighteen years.
